Obiter started as a private research company occupying two small rooms in the technology commercialization lab in the University of Illinois business incubator. However, the business took off and we rapidly grew out of the incubators. In 2005, we built our own 20,000 square foot facility. At first, our model was to train newly minted chemists in industry and our own unique techniques in kilo scale manufacturing. This gave the company a regular turnover of employees.
However today, we are actively building the company, and we are looking for the right key talented people to stay and be the pillars of our future.
